Full Job Description Company Overview:
We are a General Contractor specializing in residential construction and fire rebuild projects in California (Eaton fire area). We are growing quickly and looking for a strong, experienced professional who can handle both estimating and project management responsibilities.
Position Overview:
This is an in-office role in Pasadena, CA for a Construction Cost Estimator / Project Manager who can take ownership from preconstruction through project execution. You will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, coordinating subcontractors, and managing residential construction projects through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret residential construction plans (architectural, structural, basic MEP) Perform detailed material and labor takeoffs Prepare accurate project estimates and scopes of work Solicit and manage subcontractor bids Manage projects from start to finish Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and inspections Monitor budgets and control costs Communicate with homeowners and provide project updates Ensure compliance with California building codes and requirements Mandatory Requirements (Please do not apply if you do not meet these): Proven experience in California residential construction (3+ years minimum) Strong estimating experience with real project examples Ability to read and fully understand construction plan sets Knowledge of construction costs and subcontractor pricing in Los Angeles County Experience managing subcontractors and running projects Ability to work full-time in-office in
Pasadena, CA Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with fire rebuild / insurance restoration projects Familiarity with Title 24 requirements Experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Xactimate, or similar Experience with Buildertrend, Procore, or other PM software Strong Excel skills
