Job Description

This position is for the Los Angeles area. The Security Foreman is responsible for the management of the team performing the onsite installation of Life Safety and Security systems. They will be responsible for keeping the project moving toward completion and ensuring quality work is performed. The Security Foreman is required to be a master of many different roles on the project site. They will be the main point of contact between the Project Manager, third-party contractors, and the customer regarding project timelines and expectations.
Essential Functions:
Participates and manages the final inspection with the client to ensure project is according to code and the client contract. Conducts periodic on-site project evaluations to ensure compliance with the defined scope of work as well as TRL standards. Is expected to keep Project Manager notified of any 'Out of Scope' work needing to be performed or that is requested. Responsible for ensuring that all project documentation is completed as needed; project workplan reflects accurate status of work and a complete and well written resolution is entered on all project tickets. Reviews and updates T&M tickets assigned/worked by onsite team; ensures time is entered correctly, products have been entered and billed accurately, ticket resolution is accurate and complete and ticket status is updated timely for billing. Manages onsite field crews to ensure the successful installation of project components. Interprets drawings and identifies best methods for project installation. Adheres to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, standards and practices. Enters accurate time daily to project tickets assigned; providing a real time budget visual to company management. Adheres to all TRL Fleet policies and procedures; maintains both the appearance of their assigned vehicle and its inventory. Follows all inventory management procedures. Provides advance system programming and/or troubleshooting, making timely corrective actions to keep project moving forward. Trains technicians on industry principles and standards, ensures that team understands all products installed within their Division. Is responsible for managing the onboarding plan and expectations of new team members. 5+ years in construction and/or low voltage installation. 5+ years installing/servicing security systems. 4+ years in a leadership role. Valid California driver license Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shift, and rotating shifts Must be available to work overtime Punctuality and regular attendance
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to drive for 2+ hours in a work shift/day, daily. Ability to drive, walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, under all temperature variations. Work environment may be construction sites, commercial buildings, and high-rise buildings. Ascend/Descend and work at heights above 6ft and extreme heights, occasionally Move/Transport/Install/Remove items weighing 50+ pounds, daily Pushing/Pulling using upper extremities, daily Position self to work in confined spaces, occasionally At TRL Systems, we've been keeping people and their property safe for over 42 years.
