License Job Description School Age Site Director Job Description Job Description Summary:
The School-Age Site Director manages the day-to-day operations of the after school program located on the assigned School District campus. Responsible for supervision of children and developing program structure based on the needs and interests of the students and parents enrolled. Manages program staff and operations and maintains a relationship with school representatives and community groups.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
ECE/CD UNITS
Option 1: A valid Site Supervisor permit issued by California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Option 2: Be Eligible for a Site Supervisor Permit Issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing Strong character values, strong communication skills, emotionally mature Current approved EMSA First Aid, Adult, Infant, and Child CPR certifications (8 hours). Course in Preventive Health and Safety Practices.
Proof of Immunizations:
TB, Influenza (limited exceptions), pertussis, and measles vaccination
Desired Skills:
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Technologically advanced Experience with Desired Results Development Profile (DRDP) Previous experience working with school age children in a group setting (preferred).
Essential Functions:
Insure the health and safety of children enrolled in program. Prepare curriculum and daily schedule for program including but not limited to academics, enrichments and recreation. Direct Teachers and assist with supervision of children in order to provide safety within ratios. Develops positive relations with school campus as a YMCA representative. Assist with marketing efforts and achieving enrollment goals. Supports Program Director with onboarding and training site staff as needed. Observes, coaches and provides feedback to staff at assigned location. Provides feedback to Program Director regarding performance of site staff. Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child. Full understanding of licensing regulations (Title 22/Title 5) and responsible for ensuring assigned location operates in full compliance at all times. Insure Federal Food Program requirements are followed. Insure all daily, weekly and monthly recordkeeping is completed and turned in on time. Attend all staff meetings and trainings. Insure communication with parents through newsletter, notes and daily verbal updates. Follows the YMCA personnel policies, practices, salary administration plan, emergency procedures and risk management procedures. Visually examine children upon entering program being aware of illnesses, contagious infectious diseases, signs of neglect or abuse. Maintain a professional manner and positive attitude at all times.
