This involves making phone calls or sending emails to Clients, Consultants, Contractors, Construction Managers, or Program Managers (as needed) regarding RFI's, Submittals, ADO's, CCD's, Deferred Approvals and other general construction related correspondence. Also includes working with the Project Managers, Job Captains, or designers in obtaining sketches, attachments, and responses to questions regarding all construction related correspondence.
Minimum Requirements:
Education:
Prefer associate degree in building construction or Construction Management, Architectural degree with extensive construction experience, or equivalent demonstrated proficiency and/or
CMAA/CCM
certificate.
Experience:
Requires five to six (5-6) years' experience in construction management or equivalent experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
Software:
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), Lumos, Procore, Submittal Exchange, Prolog, eBuilder, Fieldwire, Box, Docusign.
Field Duties:
Project Meetings
  • responsible for attending Construction Meetings for assigned projects or as needed if Director of Construction is unable to attend.
This involves taking notes or meeting minutes, if applicable. Answering construction related questions regarding the project and bid documents. Walking the jobsite and answering questions or bringing questions back to the office for further review and answer at a later date. Walking the jobsite includes climbing on ladders and stairs, climbing into excavations, and walking on large construction sites.
General Duties:
Submittals
  • review of all project submittals, stamping and marking up submittals as required (may include transferring comments to multiple sets or making copies of marked up sets. Request for Information (RFI's)
  • review and preliminary answer of incoming project RFI's that requires response by the Architect, reviewing bid documents or other construction documents, in order to answer the RFI. (This involves working with Architects, Project Managers, Consultants, etc...) Architect field orders (AFO's)
  • responsible for drafting AFO's which involves working closely with the Director of Construction to determine what AFO's need to be issued, and Project Managers to obtain sketches or attachments as required.
Review of contractor cost proposals and change orders. Review of contract schedule for compliance with contract requirements.
Physical Requirements:
The ideal candidate must be able to complete all the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a minimum of 50% of the time. Must be able to efficiently use the keyboard and computer mouse. Must be able to thoroughly communicate with others. Must have visual acuity of 20 inches or closer. Must have reliable transportation and clean driving record.
Additional Requirements:
Construction Field Administrators must be able to safely perform on-site activities. Navigate through wet and unstable soil conditions and uneven terrain. Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding to observe roofing activities and exterior wall finishes. Climb stairs of construction trailers for project meetings.
Pay:
$120,000.00
