Job Description

Local Santa Barbara construction company looking for an experienced project Superintendent to join our team. Seeking someone with experience, layout skills , an understanding of sub trades and interpreting plans/specs required for running work. must have a valid driver's license and your own means of transportation. Looking for someone local Santa Barbara, Ventura, or Santa Ynez areas. In person postition. Someone local to SB, Ventura, or Santa Ynez valley areas preferred. Thank you Roles and responsibilities Leading and managing company labor Schedule subcontractors/vendors, consultants, & inspections in a critical path to ensure timely project completion. Create and maintain site specific 3 week construction schedules. Coordinate and oversee all work on site. Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed. Review and become familiar with the project plans/specs, master schedule and budget, and ensure adherence to these. Communicate with the project team regarding ASI's, RFI's, and Material submittals. Attend Project OAC Meetings Identify conflicts in construction plans/progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution. Review Subcontracts and ensure that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with their contracted scope of work. Track, vet, and sign for any authorized time & material work. Assist PM with procuring estimates for potential change order work. Place orders for necessary equipment and materials and be responsible for equipment and materials on site. Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions. Monitor and ensure on-site safety/OSHA compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite. Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously. Ensure subcontractor has corrected all deficiencies identified by the project team. Schedule and attend subcontractor premobilization meetings designed to coordinate the work. Create and manage jobsite progress and completion punch list identification and completion. Submit detailed timecards and daily logs weekly
