As we continue to expand our presence in the San Diego market, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Preconstruction Coordinator to support our growing preconstruction team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional looking to develop expertise in estimating, budgeting, procurement, and project planning while working alongside experienced industry leaders. Position Summary The Preconstruction Coordinator provides administrative, technical, and operational support to the Preconstruction, Estimating, and Business Development teams. This position plays a critical role in coordinating project pursuits, managing bid documentation, maintaining subcontractor communications, and ensuring the efficient execution of preconstruction activities. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and eager to learn the preconstruction process for large-scale multi-family and commercial mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities Support Preconstruction Managers and Estimators throughout all phases of project pursuit and preconstruction. Coordinate bid invitations and maintain subcontractor outreach databases. Assist with subcontractor and vendor communication during bidding activities. Manage project documents, drawings, specifications, and addenda distribution. Track bid responses and maintain bid logs. Organize and maintain estimating files, cost databases, and project records. Assist with quantity takeoffs and estimate preparation as directed. Coordinate preconstruction meetings and prepare meeting agendas and notes. Support proposal development, qualification packages, and presentation materials. Assist with budget updates, cost tracking, and data entry. Coordinate project turnover documentation from preconstruction to operations teams. Maintain relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and industry partners. Support continuous improvement of preconstruction systems, templates, and workflows. Qualifications Required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Architecture, or a related field. 1-4 years of experience in construction, estimating, project coordination, or administrative support. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Experience supporting estimating or preconstruction teams. Familiarity with multi-family or commercial construction projects. Knowledge of construction drawings and specifications. Experience with subcontractor procurement and bid management processes. Construction industry internship or related field experience.
