Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage construction projects from planning to completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management :
 Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Planning and Scheduling:
 Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Team Leadership :
 Supervise and manage on-site construction crews, including subcontractors and laborers, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
Quality Control:
Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Conduct regular inspections and resolve any issues that arise.
Safety Management :
 Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure a safe working environment.
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
Documentation :
 Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, change orders, and material inventories.
Problem Solving:
 Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during construction, including delays, cost overruns, and technical challenges.
Qualifications:
Education:
 Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Experience:
 Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Certifications:
OSHA 30-hour certification. First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate construction sites. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$67,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
