A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
Tandem West Glass, Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to manage commercial glazing projects from award through completion. This is a hands-on position requiring regular jobsite attendance. We are looking for someone who can read construction plans, coordinate with general contractors and field crews, attend project meetings, verify field conditions, and take accurate field measurements.
Responsibilities:
Manage commercial glazing projects from preconstruction through closeout Read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and shop drawings Attend onsite project and coordination meetings Perform accurate field measurements and verify opening conditions Identify plan conflicts, missing information, and constructability issues Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, schedules, and project documentation Coordinate material ordering, fabrication, deliveries, and installation Communicate clearly with general contractors, architects, suppliers, and field personnel Monitor project schedules, budgets, labor requirements, and outstanding issues Confirm completed work and assist with punch-list and closeout activities Required qualifications: Prior construction project management or field coordination experience Strong experience reading architectural and construction plans Demonstrated ability to perform field verification and accurate measurements Experience attending contractor and jobsite meetings Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple active projects and competing deadlines Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Comfortable working in both office and active construction-site environments Preferred qualifications: Commercial glazing, storefront, curtain wall, entrance, or door-hardware experience Experience with Procore or similar construction management software Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchasing, scheduling, and project closeout Experience coordinating union field labor and commercial construction crews Position details: Full-time Based in Wildomar, California Regular travel to Southern California project sites
