Job Description

Company Description Sinclair Building Architecture Design, LTD provides clients with integrated architectural and construction services, offering a single point of responsibility from initial concept through final installation. The firm focuses on residential projects that are shaped through an iterative, collaborative process. Designs are developed by balancing client needs with site conditions, budget, and technical requirements to create homes that are both functional and inspiring. Team members work closely with clients and trade partners to deliver meaningful spaces that reflect each client's vision while maintaining quality, schedule, and cost control. Role Description The Assistant Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley, supporting residential construction projects in Aspen, CO. This position assists the Superintendent with daily site oversight, including coordinating subcontractors, monitoring work progress, and maintaining a safe, organized job site. The role includes reviewing plans and specifications, verifying quality and craftsmanship, and documenting project activities and updates. The Assistant Superintendent helps track materials and deliveries, supports schedule management, and communicates with project managers, design staff, and clients as needed. This role also helps resolve field issues, enforce safety standards, and ensure work aligns with the project schedule, budget, and design intent. Qualifications Experience in residential construction field supervision, including coordinating trades, reading construction drawings, and supporting project schedules. Knowledge of building methods, materials, codes, and safety practices relevant to high-end residential projects. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate site documentation. Clear, professional communication skills for working with superintendents, project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Proficiency with basic construction technology tools (e.g., smartphones/tablets, project management or field reporting software) and standard office applications. Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions, perform regular site walks, and identify quality or safety issues in the field. Prior experience in a superintendent, assistant superintendent, or construction foreperson role is highly beneficial. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is an asset. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to Aspen-area job sites. Key Competencies Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Strong oral and written communication skills.
