We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple residential projects. The Construction Superintendent coordinates and manages the performance of construction work by trade professionals on assigned projects, drives construction activities forward according to plan, and ensures that projects are aesthetically pleasing at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Ensure construction schedules are met on a daily basis. 2. Understand and maintain current lead times for subcontractors and suppliers, and provide them with timely updates on the schedule and other required materials. 3. Complete daily job site reports and quality assurance inspection reports. 4. Ensure that homes are constructed in accordance with Sopris Homes' best practices. 5. Ensure all homes are scheduled with a final management walk prior to the homeowner orientation. 6. Ensure each subcontractor's understanding of and strict adherence to established scopes of work, schedules, plans, specifications, and quality standards. 7. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all job sites, adjacent streets, neighboring properties (as applicable), models, and spec homes. Take pride in the jobsite and its condition at all times. 8. Know and enforce all job site rules, regulations, and the safety program. 9. Maintain all established erosion control and drainage measures. 10. Ensure each home is built in accordance with established plan, budget, and specification parameters. 11. Review plan accuracy and promptly communicate any problems to involved parties as applicable. 12. Communicate with homeowners, trade partners, architects, designers, and the Sopris Homes team to ensure projects are coordinated at all times. Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in single-family residential construction preferred.
- Current and appropriate knowledge of all national and local codes.
- Appropriate structural and application knowledge.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- An absolute commitment to attention to detail.
- Tenacity and a problem-solving mindset — willing to think outside the box to keep projects moving.
- A team-player attitude with the interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with trade partners, homeowners, and internal staff.
