Job Description

We are looking for a driven Reconstruction Estimator / Project Manager who excels at scoping losses, writing accurate estimates, and selling construction and rebuild services to customers and partners. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently walk a property, develop a clear scope of work, and guide the customer from initial inspection through signed contract and successful project completion. Our mission is to rapidly restore properties to their pre-loss condition while delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining strong financial performance. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Scoping & Estimating (Core Focus): Perform detailed property inspections to assess damage and develop accurate scopes of work. Write comprehensive estimates in Xactimate for reconstruction and repair projects. Identify opportunities to expand project scope appropriately and ethically. Review mitigation and abatement scopes to ensure proper transition into rebuild services. Maintain estimate accuracy, completeness, and profitability.
Sales & Customer Conversion:
Meet with property owners, adjusters, and property managers to present scopes and close reconstruction projects. Clearly explain repair options, timelines, and costs to customers. Obtain signed contracts and payment terms prior to starting work. Build trust with customers and referral partners to drive repeat and referral business. Follow up on leads and unsold estimates to convert opportunities into projects.
Project & Financial Management:
Manage project budgets to ensure profitability and cost control. Track job performance against estimate and adjust as needed. Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to maintain project schedules. Ensure timely billing, collections, and project closeout.
Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination:
Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Solicit and review subcontractor bids and proposals. Ensure subcontractor work meets company quality standards and timelines.
Documentation & Communication:
Maintain accurate job files, estimates, and project documentation. Communicate regularly with customers, adjusters, and internal team members. Provide clear updates on project status, scope changes, and timelines.
Operational Support:
Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment needed for project execution. Participate in production and sales meetings. Support field teams to ensure projects run efficiently and safely. Performance Expectations Success in this role will be measured by: Estimate accuracy and turnaround time Closed sales volume and job conversion rate Project profitability and budget performance Customer satisfaction and communication quality Timely project completion Qualifications -
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required 3-5 years of experience in construction, restoration, or reconstruction estimating Experience writing estimates in Xactimate strongly preferred Experience in residential and/or commercial rebuild projects preferred
Core Skills:
Strong estimating and scoping ability Confident sales and customer communication skills Solid understanding of building construction and repair methods Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills Financial awareness and job cost management
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Xactimate Working knowledge of construction practices and materials Familiarity with Microsoft Office and project management tools
