High End Residential Superintendent Key Responsibilities:
Site Management & Coordination Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of subcontractors, vendors, material / equipment deliveries, etc. Manage the construction schedule to ensure milestones are met and materials/equipment are available when needed. Manage unexpected issues due to weather disruptions or supply delays to minimize downtime. Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure strict compliance with blueprints, specifications, and building codes. Adheres to company standards for quality control. Quickly resolve any defects, substandard work, or project technical challenges. Coordinate with local jurisdictions to schedule required inspections. Orders materials and equipment with PM. Coordinates site placement and protection of materials. Safety Enforcement Enforce all health and safety standards without exception. Conduct regular safety briefings (toolbox talks) and ensure proper PPE is used per OSHA regulations. Document and respond immediately to any safety incidents. Maintain a clean, secure, safe job site following company guidelines, standards, and procedures. Progress Monitoring & Reporting Maintain accurate daily logs of job site activity, weather, and personnel. Track progress against timelines and provide weekly 2 week look ahead reports to the Project Manager. Coordinate change orders and document punch list items before project turnover.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience:
Minimum 10 years of experience in field construction of high-end custom residences.
Technical Knowledge:
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Leadership:
Strong team management, conflict resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interfacing with trades, project managers, architects, and clients.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with standard office tools and construction project management software.
Traits:
Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Proactive problem solver. Excellent time management skills required for scheduling multiple trades and vendors.
Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent 10 years of supervising experience in the construction field High-end residential experience is required A valid driver's license from state of residence is required Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fairfield, CT.
