Job Description

Director of Construction (Insurance Restoration / Reconstruction) SERVPRO Team Skov
  • Middletown, CT
  • in person, with multi-market oversight across NY, CT, and MD Full time
  • $125,000 to $150,000 base plus commission If you have led construction operations across multiple locations and you want to take an established division and scale it, this is that seat.
SERVPRO Team Skov is one of the largest SERVPRO operations in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic, delivering reconstruction and full-service restoration across six markets in New York, Connecticut, and Maryland. We are seeking a Director of Construction to lead our established construction division, with full accountability for Project Manager performance, job-level margin, and the operational systems that support continued growth. This is not a start-up role. The division is in place and producing, and we are looking for a proven leader to strengthen it, drive accountability across a multi-market field team, and sustain disciplined profitability on every project. What you will own Lead every Construction PM across all six markets, holding each accountable for revenue and for margin. Own division profitability. Review and approve project budgets, scopes, and schedules, and intervene early when a job starts to slip. Manage and expand the subcontractor network across all trades, negotiate vendor and material pricing, and maintain competitive purchasing. Continuously improve the SOPs and workflows that keep quality consistent, whether the job is a small residential repair or a multi-million dollar commercial loss. Refine and mature the organization's Large Loss Construction process, including the protocols, subcontractor depth, and corporate expert relationships required to execute complex, high-value reconstruction. Plan headcount ahead of revenue. Recruit and develop PMs, Superintendents, Estimators, and support staff, and fill the seats in the markets that need them. Report directly to the President. What you will earn $125,000 to $150,000 base plus commission tied to division performance. This is a leadership seat with real financial upside for a director who moves the numbers. We will walk you through the full structure in the interview. What you bring Proven leadership managing construction teams across multiple markets or locations, ideally 5 to 10 years in a construction leadership role. Deep command of residential and commercial construction methods, materials, and code. Real experience building and managing subcontractor networks across trades. Strong financial acumen, specifically the ability to manage and improve job-level and portfolio-level margin, and to hold a 45% or greater average gross profit target through disciplined estimating and cost control. Insurance restoration experience, Xactimate estimating, and adjuster negotiation strongly preferred. Comfort with construction management platforms such as DASH or equivalent. Valid driver's license, clean record, and willingness to travel to production markets as operational needs require. Why Team Skov We are a growing, multi-market operator with a full-service model from mitigation through reconstruction. Our home office centralizes estimating, coordination, and administration so the field can focus on production and margin. For the right leader, this is a chance to take a working division and scale it with a company that is growing fast.
