A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
Job Summary Busy heavy civil site construction company is looking for an experienced Project Manager. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years' experience in heavy civil site construction project management, and have experience working with the CT DOT. Project Managers are responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and completing construction projects within budget, on schedule and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
Pay Range:
$90,000.00- $140,000.00- Salary range is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with engineers, architects, CMs. Determine needed resources i.e. manpower, equipment, and materials Obtain all necessary permits. Maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans. Overall project organization. Preparation of purchase orders and change orders. Prepare and review submittals and shop drawings. Review and approve construction materials and work schedules. Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. To included creating, sending, and receiving signed subcontract agreements. Request RFIs. Coordinate submittals by other trades. Project Closeout. Track punch list and ensure items are complete.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of relevant experience Knowledge of CT DOT submittal process Proficiency with blueprint reading and mechanical drawings Able to perform take-offs, measuring, and provide material lists Degree in civil, architecture, mechanical engineering, building construction, or related field preferred but not required Strong interpersonal, communication and writing skills, extreme attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks MS Office experience required Strong leadership and negotiation skills.
