• Temporary Position Summary The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing field operations on assigned construction projects, including job site safety, quality control, scheduling, and coordination with clients, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and consultants.

This is a temporary, project-based position , and employment is dependent upon the needs and duration of each assigned project. Assignments are made on an as-needed basis, and there is no guarantee of continuous employment between projects. Local travel is required. This position reports to the VP/General Superintendent. Work Functions & Responsibilities The Construction Superintendent is responsible for: Reporting to assigned project sites on time and complying with all company policies and procedures. Managing daily field operations for assigned projects from mobilization through completion. Leading and overseeing project activities to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications. Coordinating project schedules, manpower, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and vendors. Supervising subcontractors and field personnel while providing direction and resolving field-related issues. Maintaining effective communication with project managers, clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors. Enforcing quality control standards and ensuring work complies with contract documents, building codes, and applicable regulations. Promoting and enforcing all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and job site safety practices. Monitoring project progress and reporting job status, scheduling updates, and field concerns to management. Identifying and resolving field conflicts and constructability issues as they arise. Performing other project-related duties as assigned during the term of each project. Minimum Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of construction field supervision experience. Experience supporting commercial construction projects, including ground-up and renovation work. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience. Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively coordinate with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and project teams. Thorough knowledge of construction safety standards and OSHA regulations. Osha 30 Ability to utilize company technology, including cell phones, tablets, email, and construction management software, as required. Employment Status This position is temporary and project-based . Employment is offered on an as-needed basis for specific construction projects. The duration of employment will depend upon project requirements, and completion of one project does not guarantee assignment to future projects. Physical Requirements The Temporary Project Superintendent is regularly required to: Walk, stand, climb stairs, and navigate active construction sites. Sit for extended periods as necessary. Communicate effectively in person and by telephone. Read plans, specifications, schedules, and reports. Reach with hands and arms. Use hands and fingers to operate tools, tablets, computers, and other equipment. Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Possess close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
