(General Contract) experience. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Super to join our dynamic construction management team. In this role, you will support the onsite supervision of construction projects, ensuring that work progresses safely, efficiently, and according to plans. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to uphold quality standards and maintain project schedules. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in construction management while contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects across various sectors. Responsibilities Assist the Construction Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and project specifications. Support project scheduling efforts using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and Primavera, coordinating timelines and resource allocation. Help monitor project budgets and costs, supporting budgeting activities and tracking expenditures against estimates. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to facilitate accurate execution of work. Assist in managing contracts, change orders, and procurement processes to ensure compliance and timely delivery. Conduct quality control inspections using tools like the ohmmeter and ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations. Support supervision of subcontractors and labor crews, fostering a collaborative environment focused on safety, productivity, and quality. Maintain comprehensive documentation including daily reports, safety logs, and inspection records using construction site management software like Bluebeam or ProCore. Contribute to project planning by assisting with project scheduling, resource coordination, and progress tracking utilizing tools such as Primavera P6 or HeavyBid. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other safety standards through regular site inspections and safety meetings. Requirements Proven experience in construction site supervision or assistant role within the multifamily new construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools. Familiarity with construction estimating, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and contract administration. Hands-on experience with project scheduling techniques and managing project timelines effectively. Demonstrated supervising experience with subcontractors and labor teams on active construction sites. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards along with the ability to enforce safety protocols diligently. Ability to read technical drawings accurately using schematics and blueprints; experience with construction estimating is a plus. Technical skills including use of an ohmmeter for quality inspections; familiarity with pipeline projects is advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; strong communication skills for coordinating between teams. Relevant certifications such as OSHA 10/30-hour training are preferred; familiarity with management of contracts is a plus.
