Job Description

About Delmarva Buildings Since 1999, Delmarva Buildings has set the standard for post-frame and pole building construction across Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond. With 25+ years of experience and thousands of completed projects, we've built our name on two things: quality buildings and superior customer service. We're a large company that still runs with a family feel, and we back our work with a 5-Year Workmanship Warranty, a 20-Year Leak-Free Guarantee, and a Lifetime Structural Warranty. That reputation is earned one project at a time, in the field — and that's where this role comes in. The Role We're looking for a Construction Project Manager to be the face of Delmarva Buildings on the practical, in-the-field side of the business. You are the customer's main point of contact from the time the build starts until we hand over a finished building they're proud of. You'll manage subcontractor crews on site, hold the line on quality and safety, and keep customers informed and confident every step of the way. Our construction team handles scheduling and material ordering behind the scenes. Your job is to make it all come together on the ground: running multiple active projects at different phases, coordinating crews, communicating with the office, and delivering beautiful buildings on time. This is a field-heavy position. You'll spend most of your week on job sites across our service area, not behind a desk. What You'll Do Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout construction — setting and managing expectations and keeping them informed and confident. Manage and coordinate subcontractor crews on site, holding them to Delmarva's quality and workmanship standards. Run multiple projects at once, each in a different phase, and keep every one of them moving toward on-time completion. Walk job sites, perform punch lists, and verify work is done right before sign-off. Enforce job-site safety as a top priority — every crew, every site, every day. Be the link between the field and the office, communicating clearly with the construction team, crews, and customers. Identify and resolve issues in the field quickly and professionally before they become problems. Keep project notes, milestones, and completed tasks documented (we use Basecamp to keep everyone on the same page). What You Bring Hands-on construction experience , with direct knowledge of post-frame / pole building construction. Ability to read plans, perform punch lists, and recognize quality (and sub-par) workmanship. A strong commitment to job-site safety and a track record of working safely. Professionalism and genuine people skills — you can handle multiple customers at once and keep every one of them feeling taken care of. Strong organization and the ability to juggle several projects in different phases without dropping the ball. Clear, dependable communication with crews, customers, and office staff. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel daily across our service area. Comfort using a phone/tablet for project communication and documentation (Basecamp experience a plus). Why Delmarva An established, respected company with 25+ years in the industry and a strong pipeline of work. A team that takes pride in its craftsmanship and stands behind every build. A family-feel culture where your work directly shapes the customer experience. [Benefits — health, PTO, retirement, vehicle/fuel/phone allowance, etc. — fill in]
