Construction Manager Solar Utility EPC Onsite - Delaware (68MW) or New Mexico (7MW)
Company Profile:
Rapidly growing solar utility EPC is actively recruiting a Construction Manager to join the team! The EPC primarily has a remote team supporting customers on the east coast and expanding their team quickly due to the volume of projects being signed.
Compensation:
$140k-$170k
+ Per Diem
+ Bonus +
Full Benefits Scope of Responsibilities:
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all phases of utility-scale solar construction projects from mobilization through commissioning and project closeout. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. The Construction Manager works closely with project management, engineering, subcontractors, owners, and field personnel to successfully execute all construction activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day construction activities on utility-scale solar projects.
- Lead field teams including superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and craft personnel.
- Monitor project schedule, productivity, manpower, and construction progress.
- Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, and project documentation.
- Coordinate material deliveries, equipment utilization, and subcontractor scheduling.
- Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to minimize schedule and budget impacts.
- Participate in project planning, sequencing, and constructability reviews.
- Monitor project costs and support change order management.
- Lead project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
- Support commissioning activities and project turnover to operations.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience as a Construction Manager in the solar utility industry
- Experience managing utility-scale solar, renewable energy, power generation, or heavy civil construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling and sequencing.
- Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades.
- Knowledge of construction means and methods. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with utility-scale solar projects (50 MW+ preferred).
- Experience with EPC contractors.
- Knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and substations.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage systems (BESS).
- Experience with Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
Pay:
$140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
