Job Description

Assistant Project Manager provides immediate project support to both Project Manager and Superintendent/field team in coordinating the activities of the project to ensure cost, schedule, document control and quality standards are met. Take direct lead over various project aspects to implement project goals as directed by the Project Manager. General expectation requires Assistant Project Manager to oversee project goals, create and deliver reports, analyze data from project execution, and any other duties as determined by Project Manager(s). Responsibilities Work directly with Project Manager(s) to help implement project goals Oversee variable aspects of project and provide direct assistance to ensure timely project execution Thoroughly review the Owner's contract agreement and understand notification procedures with respect to weather and other delays along with making sure we are following the contractual requirements for job updates/reporting Ability to review drawings and specifications to become completely familiar with the project and identify long lead time and critical path items Should have intimate knowledge of the contract documents allowing one to speak intelligently about the project Work to obtain all necessary permits as requested by the Project Manger Complete sub evaluation/comparison of bids, scope review, and complete buyout as requested by Project Manager Develop project submittal log Manage and oversee project submittal review/approval process along with material equipment procurement; assist with timely processing of all submittals/shop drawings as well as material procurement to achieve project goals while maintaining project schedule and efficacy Promptly review and process all submittals Verify all submittal conformity to plans and specifications Prepare, track, and maintain material / equipment log Collect and distribute coordination drawings for appropriate subcontractors/ vendors. Review with Project Manager and Project Superintendent, distribute to other applicable project team members Draft, submit and track all RFI's and distribute to all team members as appropriate Collect subcontractor/vendor change requests and summarize for review by the Project Manager Review project logs (RFIs, Submittals, PCOs) with Project Manager and Superintendent on weekly basis Reporting/Meetings Prepare all project meeting agendas and associated attachments as directed by the Project Manager Prepare and assist with pre-installation meetings Attend project meetings as requested by Project Manager and keep detailed meeting minutes for publishing to project team Schedule Distribute all near term and overall project schedules. Assist Project Manager in the development of the overall project schedule Assess overall project progress on a bi-weekly basis (minimum) and update / distribute regular schedule updates to project team to ensure project expectations, both near term as well as long term goals / milestones, are being met to ensure timely project delivery Gather data, analyze, and summarize for Project Manager(s) review; Follow-up on collection of all non-received documents and escalate any issues to
