Job Description
Sirius Staffing is seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to oversee mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural construction projects at a power generation facility in Tampa, FL.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise contractors and subcontractors performing construction, renovation, maintenance, and facility improvement projects.
Oversee mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and commercial building construction activities.
Monitor project schedules, budgets, contractor performance, and critical path activities.
Review construction drawings, specifications, design changes, and contract change notices.
Assist with scopes of work, bid packages, cost estimates, and contractor evaluations.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, ASME, ASTM, and applicable safety and environmental regulations.
Conduct field inspections to verify construction quality and project specifications.
Coordinate construction activities during planned and emergency power plant outages.
Oversee work involving electrical systems, controls, HVAC, pumps, valves, piping, roofing, concrete, and facility repairs.
Support QA/QC, commissioning, and project closeout activities. Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED with construction management training.10-15 years of heavy industrial or commercial construction/construction management experience.10+ years of electrical and controls experience in a commercial or industrial environment.
Experience supervising contractors and managing multiple construction projects.
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction codes, including NEC, ASME, and ASTM.Experience with project scheduling, cost estimating, contract administration, and outage coordination.
Proficiency with computerized work management systems.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate's or bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical or military trade school training.
General Contractor, Mechanical Contractor, or Journeyman Electrician background.
