Job Description

Responsible for the construction project of HFHCC, helping with oversight of the building process. Responsible for construction administrative tasks monitoring the construction schedule as it relates to trades and vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for understanding the HFHCC construction operations manual, volunteer and site safety policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the permit process and job start up tasks.
  • Assists Construction Director with site log, recording volunteer hours.
  • Responsible for answering phone and emails from and to trades. Use Builder Trend and Microsoft software
  • Responsible for answering phone calls and scheduling Warranty Calls. Use Builder Trend and Microsoft software.
  • Responsible for requesting deliveries as instructed by the Construction Director.
  • Prepare copies of Fiscal Reports and Pipeline Reports.
  • In compliance with HFHCC Policy Manuals.
  • Assisting in maintaining a schedule for Construction Director.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned by the Construction Director.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Commitment to the ecumenical Christian principles that Habitat for Humanity was founded on, ready to share the mission of HFHCC.
  • Knowledge of family services requirements for partner families' sweat equity hours.
  • Must have knowledge of Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) construction standards and HFHCC standards of excellence.
  • Organizational skills for efficient and timely management of construction activities.
  • Must have knowledge of computers and certain software such as Word and Excel. Training will be provided for Builder Trend. Ability to be a lifetime learner and perform duties in a satisfactory manner.
  • Attentive, empathetic, collaborative, and harmonious interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate well with all constituents, including staff, partnering families, volunteers, business, religious and political communities.
  • High levels of self-motivation and stamina in working an appropriate weekly schedule, which requires flexibility to respond to unexpected demands.
  • Ability to appropriately represent HFHCC, advocating the mission and objectives of HFHCC at all functions, internally as well as throughout the community.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work patiently and effectively with labor and volunteers.
  • Maintain reasonable and presentable work attire.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Education and/or experience in similar position, with satisfactory relevant experience. Preference is given for experience with a non-profit volunteer-intensive organization. High School Diploma or equivalent
