Projects range from 4,500 sq ft to 25,000+ sq ft custom residences and include high-end finishes, detailed coordination, and close collaboration with architects and designers. Cudmore Builders delivers quality craftsmanship combined with strong project management to create an exceptional building experience for its clients. Role Description Cudmore Builders is seeking a driven Assistant Superintendent to join its growing team. The ideal candidate is quality-minded, detail-oriented, and interested in a long-term opportunity in luxury residential construction. The Assistant Superintendent will support the Superintendent and Project Manager with daily field coordination, trade management, quality control, scheduling support, inspections, and project documentation. This role is designed for someone with residential construction experience who is looking to grow into a full Superintendent position over time, with hands-on responsibility and support from senior leadership. Candidates should have experience in shell construction, drywall/framing, and finish work. Field experience is important, and luxury residential experience is preferred. ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance Walk through the project site daily Document and follow up on corrective actions Submit daily logs with photos Assist with punch lists and quality control reviews Help ensure work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and company standards Scheduling Assist with project schedules and realistic production goals Help update project schedules and coordinate with the company-wide schedule Support the Superintendent in holding subcontractors and suppliers accountable to the schedule Help maintain projected milestones and delivery dates Coordinate required inspections with the Superintendent and Project Manager Trade Partner Management Assist with communicating scopes of work before work begins Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers in the field Support coordination with architects, engineers, and interior designers Help identify scope gaps, field conflicts, and potential change items Communicate field issues to the Superintendent and Project Manager Risk Mitigation Help ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations Support OSHA compliance and report non-compliant activities Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite Assist with site protection, access control, deliveries, and logistics Communication Maintain regular communication with the Superintendent and Project Manager Help keep clients and company leadership informed of job progress and issues Document key conversations, open items, and field updates Coordinate with office personnel as needed Knowledge & Skills Residential construction experience required Luxury home experience preferred Field experience in shell construction, drywall/framing, and finish work preferred Ability to read and understand construction drawings Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Willingness to learn and utilize Buildertrend for project management Strong communication, organization, and follow-through Ability to work well with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, designers, and internal team members Benefits 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Competitive salary based on experience
