Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Site/Civil Superintendent. In this pivotal role, you will hold the responsibility for the successful completion of turn-key heavy/civil projects on time and within budget. Directly supervise and coordinate activities of onsite daily operations. Oversee the production and performance of multiple crews and their crew foreman as they operate one or several types of equipment.
Duties Site Management:
Oversee daily on-site operations from mobilization to project completion.
Safety Enforcement:
Enforce safety rules and manage environmental compliance on the job site.
Crew Coordination:
Supervise foremen, field crews, equipment operators, and subcontractors.
Schedule and Budget:
Track daily production, manage resources, and keep projects aligned with timelines and budgets.
Problem Solving:
Resolve trade conflicts and address field issues in real time.
Stakeholder Communication:
Report progress updates to project managers, owners, engineers, and inspectors Develop, implement, and manage quality control and assurance program following to ensure work is installed per industry and client standards. Develop and coordinate 2-3 week look ahead with the Project Manager. Review the overall project schedule to ensure compliance with project deadlines. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and industry standards by conducting regular safety audits and training sessions. Subcontract management, which includes workforce requirements, PPE, production output management, and coordinate work to prevent re-work. Maintain detailed documentation of all construction activities, inspections, safety incidents, per company standards. Embrace and lead with the Core Principles of our Company Be punctual, dependable, and professional at all times Work with cost effectiveness, profitability, and safety in mind Maintain a project schedule Monitor the quality of subcontracted work Order materials/schedule delivery as needed Collect delivery tickets and ensure accuracy of materials received Endure that the site inspector has copies of required delivery tickets Turn in coded delivery tickets to the project manager on a weekly basis Maintain the highest ethical standards at all times Plan and coordinate Daily Hazard Briefings to ensure crew understands the work plan and the associated hazards of the day Report incidents immediately to the risk management team in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the Company Train and develop new team members in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and/or Company policies Enter daily project data including but not limited to accurate labor, equipment, and quantity reporting Review and approve project data entered by other crews working onsite for accuracy Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or to plan procedures Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety or to ensure that specifications are met Work to eliminate unnecessary trips and labor costs on weather days Communicate with engineers or owners to resolve issues Coordinate with local authorities on work and inspections Ensure our projects maintain a professional appearance Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities Coordinate weekly look ahead and resources with Management Team Assign work to team members based on material or worker requirements of specific jobs Estimate material or worker requirements to complete jobs Coordinate material and supplies orders with Project Manager Suggest or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, hires or discipline Operate equipment as needed Willingness to work hours as required Skills Proven management experience supervising construction projects and teams in industrial or commercial settings. Experienced in civil construction with hands-on knowledge of drainage, sewer and water systems, site grading, excavation, back-filling, compaction, and concrete work. Ability to read blueprints, interpret engineering plans, and understand heavy equipment usage. Proficiency in reviewing submittals, developing RFI's with project team. Managing Subcontractors. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for maintaining a safe work environment. Excellent coordination skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines. Strong leadership, active listening, and organizational abilities. Effective communication skills in English and Spanish for clear reporting and team coordination.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Do you know how to use a Transit, Builders and Laser Level to check grades and confirm surveyor stakes? Are you familiar with Utility Service Standards in Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach County? Are you able to review pipe crew performance and determine if adjustments need to be made, inclusive of removal of employees for none performance? Do you have experience Equipment Management and Maintenance Monitoring?
