Greater Jacksonville, FL Relocation Assistance Available A growing construction and development company is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Purchasing/Operations Manager to support residential, multifamily, and commercial development projects. This individual will play a key role in purchasing, procurement, budgeting, vendor management, and preconstruction planning while helping support a rapidly expanding project pipeline.Responsibilities:
Develop and manage purchasing and procurement strategies Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Support budgeting and preconstruction efforts Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work Prepare bid packages and analyze proposals Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships Identify cost-saving and value engineering opportunities Coordinate with operations, construction, and leadership teams Support process improvement initiativesQualifications:
5+ years of purchasing, preconstruction, estimating, or construction operations experience Background in residential, multifamily, commercial, mixed-use, amenities and development projects Strong understanding of construction means and methods Experience negotiating with vendors and subcontractors Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Proficiency withMicrosoft Office Preferred Experience:
Residential purchasing Build-to-Rent (BTR/BFR) Multifamily construction Commercial or mixed-use projects Amenity buildings Preconstruction and procurement leadershipCompensation & Benefits:
