MAE is a drug free workplace. Submit your resume to . MAE is seeking a proven leader to manage and grow our Construction Services Division throughout Northeast Florida and the surrounding region. The Construction Services Manager will provide leadership for our construction materials testing, special inspections, and field services operations while serving as a key contributor to MAE's continued growth. The successful candidate will help shape the future of the division by developing opportunities, mentoring staff, strengthening client partnerships, and expanding MAE's presence throughout the marketplace. Job Responsibilities Lead Business Growth Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, owners, architects, engineers, and public agencies. Identify opportunities to expand MAE's services and strengthen existing client partnerships. Pursue and secure new work through relationship development, market engagement, and strategic business development efforts. Represent MAE within professional organizations, industry associations, and community events. Collaborate with company leadership to establish and execute growth initiatives. Principal Responsibility of the Construction Services Division Provide overall leadership and direction for construction materials testing, special inspections, and laboratory operations. Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company quality standards. Oversee project execution, staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and client satisfaction. Review proposals, technical reports, contracts, and project deliverables. Drive operational excellence while maintaining a strong client-service focus. Develop People Lead, mentor, and develop project managers, laboratory and field technicians, and support staff. Build a culture centered on professionalism, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Support recruiting efforts and help develop the next generation of leaders within the division. Foster an environment where employees are empowered to grow professionally and contribute to the success of the company. Manage Performance and Profitability Oversee departmental financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, staffing utilization, and resource planning. Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities. Monitor performance and implement initiatives that support sustainable growth and operational efficiency. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. Ten or more years of experience in construction services, construction materials testing, inspections, consulting engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive B2B sales and business development experience, preferably in the AEC or consulting engineering industry. Strong understanding of consultative or solution-based selling. Demonstrated success in new client acquisition and revenue generation within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Proven ability to develop client relationships and contribute to business growth. Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated success leading teams and managing operations. Experience managing budgets, operational performance, and business objectives. A Professional Engineer license is NOT required for this position. However, if an engineer, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university and the ability to obtain Florida licensure within six months of hire is expected.Benefits
