Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $90,000 a year 21 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Customer service Project coordination Schedule management Driver's License Attention to detail Construction quality control Full Job Description Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Manager to oversee the day-to-day field operations for custom and semi-custom residential construction projects in the Palm Coast market. The Construction Manager is responsible for managing all phases of construction from site start through homeowner closing and punch list completion. This role requires strong leadership, scheduling expertise, attention to detail, quality control, subcontractor coordination, customer communication, and the ability to maintain project momentum while delivering a high-quality finished product. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining our standards for quality, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Manage all field operations related to the construction of custom and semi-custom homes Coordinate and supervise subcontractor activities throughout all phases of construction Maintain both short-term and long-term construction schedules to achieve targeted build times Schedule and coordinate county inspections required to obtain Certificate of Occupancy Monitor job progress daily and maintain accurate project documentation Ensure homes are built to company quality standards with a strong focus on minimizing defects and punch list items Manage vendor deliveries and material coordination to support production schedules Communicate proactively with homeowners through meetings, phone calls, emails, and jobsite walkthroughs Coordinate with project managers, purchasing staff, designers, and office personnel to ensure smooth project execution Monitor job costs and assist in minimizing budget overruns and unnecessary expenses Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites in compliance with OSHA standards Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, inspectors, vendors, and customers Deliver homes on schedule and at the company's expected level of quality and customer satisfaction Preferred Qualifications Minimum 5 years of residential home building or construction management experience required Experience in custom or semi-custom residential construction preferred Strong organizational, scheduling, and project coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Strong communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality control Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Proficient with construction scheduling and documentation processes Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required
