Brevard County, FL About the Role Aging Matters in Brevard is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Area Supervisor to join our Brevard Senior Nutrition Program. In this role, you will serve as the vital link between senior clients and the services they need, determining program eligibility, coordinating care, and supervising site-level staff within your assigned area. This position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a genuine commitment to serving older adults, including those who are homebound, at-risk, or socially isolated. Key Responsibilities Client Outreach & Intake Identify and engage program candidates, with emphasis on low-income, at-risk, frail, and socially isolated seniors, through home visits, community outreach, and health fairs Interview applicants and referrals, and review waitlists for open program slots Determine client eligibility based on economic and social need; assist with applications as needed Assign clients to the Home Delivered Meals program when homebound due to physical or mental limitations Coordinate transportation for clients through Title III B Senior Assistance Program or contracted transportation services Refer clients to other community programs and agencies as appropriate, with client consent Conduct annual re-evaluations of client needs and adjust services accordingly Follow up with clients who drop out of program services to identify and address unmet needs Site & Staff Supervision Supervise Seniors at Lunch (SAL) Site Managers within the assigned area Visit each site at least weekly during meal service to support Site Managers and monitor service goals Train new Site Managers on food service procedures and recordkeeping Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and corrective action as needed Cover Site Manager absences and deliver Meals on Wheels routes when necessary Administration & Reporting Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client data in eCIRTS and AIMS systems Keep the Program Director and Communications Manager informed of area needs, challenges, and improvement opportunities Support deposit procedures for site donations as needed Qualifications Education Associate's degree required; three (3) or more years of relevant experience may substitute for education Experience Minimum two (2) years of experience in a role requiring strong interpersonal and human relations skills Experience working with vulnerable or senior populations preferred Familiarity with community social service agencies preferred Skills & Requirements Must obtain

certification within 30 days of hire Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds Valid driver's license and active auto insurance required Reliable, honest, and genuinely committed to the welfare of seniors Working Conditions This position is based primarily in an office setting with regular travel to program sites and client homes. The role involves extended periods of standing, moderate physical activity, and lifting up to 30 pounds. As a condition of employment, staff may be required to support emergency and disaster response efforts in accordance with agency and county directives.
