Heavy Civil / Highway / Bridge / Infrastructure Construction An established heavy civil highway and bridge contractor working on projects across Florida is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for a project in the Naples area. This role is ideal for a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or senior Project Engineer with at least 5 years of construction management experience who is looking to take on a larger role within a stable project team. Responsibilities include overseeing cost, schedule, subcontracts, and owner reporting for heavy civil highway projects, including FDOT work. Candidates from Southwest Florida are preferred, but those willing to relocate are also encouraged to apply. What You'll Be Responsible For Developing cost, resource, and schedule plans for the project Managing subcontracts and monitoring subcontractor performance Coordinating labor, materials, and equipment with the field team Providing guidance on drawings, specifications, and regulations to the team Handling contracts, permits, and licenses Supervising assistant managers and engineers and reviewing their reports Ensuring safety compliance on the job site and supporting the safety program Controlling the budget and maintaining the project schedule Reporting project progress to owners, engineers, and architects What We're Looking For At least 5 years of experience assisting or supervising complex construction projects A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field with additional training in business administration or accounting Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Naples Previous experience in heavy civil highway construction is a bonus Experience with FDOT projects is a plus Located in Southwest Florida or open to relocating to the Naples area Why This Role Is Worth a Conversation Comprehensive benefits package Potential for project bonuses Opportunity to work with an established heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with projects throughout Florida A chance to work closely with the Project Manager and grow into managing your own projects Engage in heavy civil projects that will advance your career in construction
