- Jacksonville, FL Full-Time
- On-Site
- Based in Jacksonville with a few days of travel per month across North and Central Florida About the Opportunity Scapes of North FL, an established company specializing in new commercial landscape installation, irrigation, and paver builds is hiring a Project Manager to own day-to-day delivery on its installation book.
The Project Manager will run multiple concurrent commercial install projects from contract handoff through warranty — coordinating crews, materials, subcontractors, and clients to keep every job on schedule, on budget, and built to spec. The role reports to the General Manager. This is a pure delivery role. Estimating and sales are handled by the sales team and operations leadership; the Project Manager owns the work after it is sold. The Project Manager is based in Jacksonville and spends, with some days each month visiting active jobs across North and Central Florida. The right person treats every job site like their own property and is as comfortable on the dirt as they are in front of a job-cost report. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary commensurate with experience Performance bonus tied to project margin and on-time delivery Competitive benefits package What You'll Own End-to-end delivery on multiple concurrent commercial install projects — landscape, irrigation, and hardscape — from sales-to-production handoff through warranty. Pre-construction planning — reading site plans, irrigation drawings, and hardscape layouts; building project schedules; sequencing scopes across trades. Crew scheduling and labor allocation across active job sites in coordination with foremen. Materials and subcontractor scheduling — pavers, base material, plant material, irrigation supply, and sub crews — arriving on the right day in the right order. Daily field walks across active sites — quality control, safety, sequencing, and on-the-ground problem solving. Client, GC, designer, and architect communication for the life of the project — kickoff meetings, weekly updates, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Change order management — capturing scope changes, working with the sales team to get them priced, and securing signed approval before the work happens. Project-level job costing — tracking labor hours, materials, and rentals against the sold budget; flagging variance early; closing each job out clean. Billing milestones and AIA-style draws on commercial work; coordinating with accounting on AR. Punch list, final walk-through, and warranty-period management. Daily use of the company's CRM and project-management software — keeping schedules, job-cost data, photos, and documentation current and clean.
Who We're Looking For Experience:
5+ years managing commercial landscape installation projects. Direct experience leading commercial install work is a hard requirement. Candidates whose backgrounds combine landscape installation with irrigation install and/or paver/hardscape construction are strongly preferred.
Project Delivery:
Has successfully run multiple concurrent commercial install projects to completion — on schedule, on budget, and on spec.
People Leadership:
Comfortable directing foremen and crews in the field; can hold a job site to a daily plan and a quality standard.
Trade Knowledge:
Working knowledge of landscape installation methods, irrigation system design and installation, and paver/hardscape construction (base prep, screeding, edge restraint, drainage).
Plans & Specs:
Reads and interprets site plans, irrigation drawings, grading plans, and hardscape layouts with confidence.
Financial Fluency:
Understands project-level job costing, labor productivity, and materials variance. Can pull a job-cost report and explain a miss.
Software:
Comfortable working daily in a CRM and project-management platform (Aspire, LMN, Procore, Jobber, or similar). Will be a heavy daily user.
Hands-On:
Lives between the truck and the job site. Walks every active job at least weekly. Comfortable getting muddy.
Driving:
Valid Florida driver's license and clean MVR. A four-year college degree is not required. Demonstrated commercial install delivery, a strong project track record, and the trade knowledge to lead crews and subs are what we care about. Candidates who came up through the trade — installer to foreman to assistant PM to PM — are encouraged to apply. What Success Looks Like in Year One Active install schedule delivered on time and on budget across all assigned projects. Project-level gross margin holds or improves quarter over quarter. Clean job closeouts — punch resolved, final billing collected, warranty period managed without surprises. Strong client, GC, and designer relationships, reflected in repeat work and referrals. A more consistent, better-trained foreman and crew bench at year-end than at hire. How to Apply Qualified candidates should submit a résumé and a brief note describing relevant commercial install project experience, project portfolio, and current/expected compensation. All inquiries will be treated as confidential. We are an equal opportunity employer.
