Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Construction Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of our construction projects in the vibrant Orlando market. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. This role requires a strong leader with exceptional organizational skills, a deep understanding of construction processes, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Pre-Construction:
Review and understand project plans, specifications, and scopes of work. Develop comprehensive project schedules, critical path analyses, and resource allocation plans. Assist in the bidding process, evaluating subcontractor proposals, and negotiating contracts. Collaborate with design teams, architects, and engineers to ensure constructability and resolve potential issues. Obtain necessary permits and licenses from local authorities (e.g., City of Orlando, Orange County).Project Execution & Management:
Direct and supervise project staff, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules. Conduct regular site meetings, inspections, and safety briefings. Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions. Manage project budgets, review invoices, approve payments, and track costs to ensure financial goals are met. Implement and enforce stringent quality control standards throughout all phases of construction. Proactively identify and resolve construction-related issues, conflicts, and challenges. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and meeting minutes. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes, regulations, and safety standards (OSHA).Safety & Quality Assurance:
Champion a strong safety culture on all project sites, conducting regular safety audits and toolbox talks. Implement and enforce company safety policies and procedures. Ensure all work meets or exceeds quality expectations and industry standards.Communication & Stakeholder Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies. Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders. Foster positive working relationships with all project participants.Project Closeout:
Oversee project punch list completion and final inspections. Ensure timely project closeout, including final documentation, warranty information, and lien releases. Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and best practices.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. (Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree). 5+ years of progressive experience as a Construction Manager, Project Manager, or Superintendent on commercial and/or residential projects. 1-2 Year experience in Damage Restoration/Mitigation Field Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. In-depth knowledge of construction processes, means, methods, and materials. Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes in the Orlando/Central Florida area. Proficiency in construction management softwares OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation abilities. Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Valid Florida Driver's License and reliable transportation.What We Offer:
Competitive salary commensurate with 401K after 1 year of Service Company vehicle (to be driven within 60 Miles) of Main office.Pay:
