- Communication with clients, crew leaders, and inspectors is professional, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Problems are identified early and resolved quickly, with minimal impact to timelines or cost.
- The Foreman/Project Manager demonstrates leadership through accountability, mentoring, and crew development.
- The team maintains a strong reputation for reliability, craftsmanship, and professionalism on all sites.
- Plan review is performed for accuracy, including verification of drawings, specifications, and field conditions prior to execution.
- Accurate material take-offs are completed to ensure proper ordering, cost control, and job efficiency.
- On-site troubleshooting and issue resolution with crew members is handled quickly and effectively to keep projects moving forward without delay.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of marine construction crews Interpret and execute project plans, drawings, and specifications Perform plan review for accuracy and constructability prior to and during construction Complete material take-offs and assist with ordering and job costing accuracy Ensure all work is completed according to safety and environmental regulations Monitor progress, quality of work, and crew performance Troubleshoot jobsite issues and support crew members to keep projects on schedule Communicate effectively with crew leaders, subcontractors, and clients Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards Maintain project documentation and daily logs Train and mentor crew members as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of carpentry experience required; 2 years leading crews or supervising projects. Marine construction experience is preferred, but we will consider qualified foremen from residential construction, commercial construction, framing and carpentry. Strong knowledge of marine construction methods, materials, and equipment Strong work ethic Experience in reading construction plans and specifications Ability to perform material takeoffs Proven leadership and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Salary Range:
$70,720 - $93,000/year
Hourly:
~$34-$45/hr
