CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Overtime:
Paid for hours worked over 40 hours per week Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to support multiple capital, maintenance, reliability, and operational improvement projects at an industrial plant in Riverview, Florida. The Construction Manager will provide hands-on field leadership and coordination throughout project planning, construction, commissioning, and closeout. The role will work closely with project management, operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and site personnel to ensure safe, efficient project execution. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily construction activities across multiple projects and work fronts. Manage contractors, manpower, schedules, and site resources. Support project planning, field walkdowns, constructability reviews, and look-ahead schedules. Monitor project progress, costs, schedules, risks, and constraints. Support capital project budgeting, cost tracking, change orders, invoices, and reporting. Identify and escalate field issues, material delays, and scheduling conflicts. Ensure contractors follow site safety requirements and procedures. Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and project teams. Maintain project documentation, action items, meeting notes, and status reports. Support commissioning, turnover, punch lists, and project closeout. Required Qualifications Capital project experience required. Industrial/process plant experience required. 3+ years of relevant construction management, project management, engineering, maintenance, or industrial operations experience. Experience managing contractors in an operating plant environment. Experience with schedules, cost tracking, change orders, and contractor coordination. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience Chemical, fertilizer, mining, manufacturing, energy, or other heavy industrial experience preferred. Turnaround, outage, reliability, and multi-project capital program experience is a plus. Work Requirements This is a 12-month contract position with potential for extension based on project needs and performance. The position requires regular field presence at the Riverview, FL site.
