Responsibilities As an Earthworks Superintendent, you will: Oversee and manage all aspects of earthworks operations on assigned projects. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Supervise and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and equipment to ensure efficient operations. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders. Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to resolve any challenges or issues. Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and cost tracking. Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork and communication. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: Proven experience as an Earthworks Superintendent or in a similar leadership role within the civil construction industry. Strong knowledge of earthworks operations, equipment, and techniques. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide crews effectively. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Strong understanding of safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Day-to-Day Your daily responsibilities will include: Conducting site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan. Coordinating with project managers and engineers to address project needs and challenges. Managing and scheduling field crews and equipment to optimize productivity. Monitoring safety practices and conducting safety meetings as required. Reviewing project plans and specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy. Communicating with stakeholders to provide updates on project status and milestones. Troubleshooting and resolving any on-site issues that may arise.
