Job Description

Job Title:
Construction Project Manager GeoPoint is a land surveying company with multiple locations, specializing in land development, geomatics, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys, and subsurface utility engineering.
Summary/Objective:
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of surveying projects within the construction division. This role includes performing survey calculations, analysis, boundary analysis, and final map checking, as well as coordinating with clients, field crews, and technicians to ensure project success. The Project Manager will also handle client relations, abstract title data, research record drawings, and ensure quality control throughout the surveying process.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform survey calculations, boundary analysis for large-scale sectionalized land surveys, and final map checking. Abstract title data and research record drawings to ensure accurate survey results. Maintain and manage relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and project requirements are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with clients, survey crews, and office technicians to establish project responsibilities and priorities. Work with other discipline leads to align scheduling objectives and project milestones. Assign daily responsibilities to survey field crews and office technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and project progress. Sign and seal surveys, maps, and survey-related documents as required. Perform in-process quality control of survey field activities, calculations, and preliminary project deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards. Develop project schedules and ensure that all tasks are completed on time and within budget. Adjust project plans as necessary to accommodate changes in scope or unforeseen challenges.
Qualifications:
Licensed as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of office location or ability to obtain a license within 12 months. 2 years of post-registration experience with 4 years of progressive survey experience. Four-year degree in Geomatics or related field highly preferred. Strong technical skills, including experience with AutoCAD Civil3D. Experience with aerial or mobile LiDAR platforms and software highly preferred. Strong organizational skills and experience with Microsoft Office. Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale private sector survey projects. Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Regularly engage in sitting, standing, or walking activities. Occasionally handle lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items of varying weights. Perform reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, or twisting motions as needed. Other physical requirements may arise depending on job tasks. Work may be conducted at a desk or workstation situated in confined areas. Experience moderate levels of noise indoors and outdoors. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as required. Ability to thrive in both team-oriented settings and independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
Safety Responsibility:
Adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards and procedures. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate corrective actions. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner. Participate in safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety.
Travel:
Some travel may be required.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
