Commercial Construction Superintendent About the Opportunity An established, family-owned commercial construction company with more than 30 years of industry experience is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to join its team. The company specializes in metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, and specialty acoustical systems and is known for quality workmanship, dependable project execution, and strong relationships with its customers and construction partners. Position Overview The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and according to project plans and specifications. This position will work closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews to coordinate activities and keep projects moving forward. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily field operations on commercial construction projects Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and field crews Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and project schedules Monitor jobsite progress and communicate updates to the Project Manager Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries Maintain project schedules and help identify potential delays Conduct and participate in jobsite meetings Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Monitor quality of work and ensure company standards are maintained Identify and resolve field issues and coordinate solutions with project management Communicate with General Contractors and other trades on site Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite Ensure proper safety procedures and company policies are followed Track daily progress and maintain accurate field documentation Help coordinate inspections and project closeout activities Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent or similar field leadership role Experience with metal stud framing, drywall, insulation, acoustical systems, or related commercial construction preferred Strong knowledge of commercial construction practices and jobsite operations Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Strong understanding of scheduling and project sequencing Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to identify problems and find practical solutions in the field Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader who knows how to run a jobsite, communicate with trades and contractors, and keep a project moving.
