Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects from start to finish. This dynamic role requires a proactive leader who can coordinate all aspects of construction site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. JCI is specifically seeking candidates with a strong background in commercial construction, with demonstrated hands-on expertise in concrete, masonry, and structural steel trades. Candidates must bring a minimum of 5 years of superintendent or field management experience in commercial construction to be considered for this role. The Superintendent will oversee daily field activities, manage subcontractors and vendors, and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and project specifications. Responsibilities Coordinates Field Personnel and Subcontractors to ensure work is completed on time, within budget and at the highest standard of quality Maintains safety on the jobsite and enforces company and jobsite safety plan and all safety-related regulations Partners with other project team members to supervise, direct, and coordinate management of construction Develops and effectively manages detailed schedules and with budget and safety in mind to ensure project is completed by designated delivery date Interpret architectural and engineering drawings Responsible for daily reports, progress reports, etc. Manages self-perform crews Oversee the review of plans and drawings in accordance with contract documents and the coordination of shop drawings Maintains professional, positive relationships with supervisory personnel and employees, engineers, architects, subcontractors, inspectors, and clients Supervises and coordinates subcontractors to monitor their compliance with subcontract terms Follows and enforces company policies and procedures Coordinates and oversees project inspections Willingness to travel as needed to support project and company needs Maintains working knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA requirements Communicates professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing, across all levels including ownership, management, subcontractors, and clients Upholds a professional attitude and appearance at all times Demonstrates leadership and sound management practices in day-to-day responsibilities Requirements Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience in commercial construction; prior experience managing concrete, masonry, and/or structural steel scopes is required. Proven experience in commercial construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects. Demonstrated ability to self-perform and supervise concrete, masonry, and structural steel crews in a commercial construction environment Proven track record managing project schedules, budgets, and subcontractor compliance on commercial projects Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and shop drawings Strong knowledge of OSHA requirements and jobsite safety standards Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work effectively with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews Willingness to travel as required by project needs
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
