This position is under the direct supervision of the Center Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in planning and implementing a program designed to benefit each child's individual needs for physical, social emotional, creative and intellectual development.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Organizing and planning daily activities with classroom teachers for optimal learning Classroom and playground observations of teachers to ensure safety and to prevent injuries Assist Center Supervisor in coordinating community support and resources Maintaining and updating required records, to include educational activities, permission forms for field trips, and licensing information Reviewing child outcome data to implement necessary improvements Coordinating playground, bathroom and laundry schedule for the center Monitoring center to ensure Performance Standards, NAEYC and Licensing Standards are being followed Maintenance and submission of informations for payroll Immediately identify and report hazardous or any unsafe conditions to the Center Supervisor Monitoring the daily loading of children and the general operation of transportation services
Other Duties:
Assist in classrooms, when necessary Tracking and maintaining volunteer hours and in-kind requirements Monitoring classroom activities and child/teachers interactions Assist content area Specialist in activities at the center

Employment Standards or Job Requirements:
Completion of an Associate degree in Early Childhood Development or CDA with one year's experience working in an Early Childhood program. Must have an acceptable criminal background check, drug screen and a valid
