Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Job Description

We are seeking motivated, hard-working individuals to join our underground utilities team as an On-site Foreman. This is a hands-on, outdoor role offering long-term growth opportunities for individuals with a strong work ethic.
Job Requirements:
Run day-to-day field operations on road construction and underground utility projects — grading, water and sewer main installation, and concrete flat work/structures. You're the person on site who turns plans into finished work: reading drawings, laying out the job, directing the crew, and making the calls that keep production moving without cutting corners on safety or spec. What You'll Do Lead daily crew operations: assign tasks, set pace, keep multiple work fronts (excavation, pipe-laying, concrete) moving together Read and work from civil plans, utility drawings, and grade stakes; verify cut/fill and pipe grade/slope before and during install Oversee installation of water and sewer mains — trenching, bedding, pipe-laying, tie-ins, backfill and compaction Direct concrete work: form work, pours, finishing, and curing for curb, sidewalk, structures, or pavement as scoped Run a daily safety briefing (tailgate talk) and enforce trench safety/shoring, traffic control, and PPE compliance on every shift Coordinate equipment and material needs with the yard/PM so the crew is never standing around waiting Communicate progress, delays, and field changes to the superintendent or PM in real time Maintain daily logs: hours, quantities installed, materials used, weather delays, incidents Handle utility locates, inspector coordination, and on-site QC checks (compaction tests, grade checks, pipe inspection) before cover-up What You Bring Proven experience running crews on underground utility and/or road construction projects Working knowledge of trench safety standards (OSHA 1926 Subpart P) and ability to act as a competent person on site Ability to read civil/utility plans and set or verify grade Experience with concrete forming, pouring, and finishing Strong communication skills — able to direct a crew, talk to inspectors, and report clearly to management Valid driver's license; CDL a plus
