Construction Turnover Coordinator Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to manage the final phases of construction projects. This role involves facilitating the transition from construction to operations, ensuring compliance with documentation, quality standards, and client requirements.Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the turnover process for completed construction projects.
- Ensure all project documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranty information, is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct final inspections and quality checks, ensuring project readiness for client handover.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the turnover phase, addressing any concerns or questions.
- Maintain and update turnover tracking systems and reporting tools.
- Negotiate start-up support and priorities for outstanding construction work identified at turnover acceptance.
- Write turnover letters and coordinate necessary signatures.
- Organize walkthroughs to identify any outstanding work prior to turnover and develop punch lists for tracking.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field or 1 year of experience in construction coordination or project management, preferably in industrial settings.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
