Construction Superintendent Job Description We are seeking a diligent and organized Construction Superintendent to oversee a significant renovation project in Genesio, IL. This role involves converting an old bank into a dental clinic, focusing entirely on interior work. The successful candidate will ensure that all work is completed in accordance with contractual obligations. Responsibilities Plan and organize project work to ensure compliance with the contract. Create and update monthly project work schedules. Perform in-depth reviews of designs, drawings, and contracts. Supervise contractor work to ensure timely and cost-effective project implementation. Coordinate and liaise with clients, subcontractors, consultants, property inspectors, and regulatory authorities. Conduct safety inspections to ensure on-site working conditions and habits meet required standards. Assist in the preparation of operations/maintenance manuals and project closeout documentation. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience as a construction superintendent in a commercial setting. Proficiency in construction management and commercial construction. Skills in blueprint reading and subcontractor management. Experience in construction supervision and managing crews and sub-crews. General contractor experience and project management expertise. Carpentry skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience building dental or medical clinics is preferred but not required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Waterloo, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
