Job Title:
Construction Manager Job Description The primary role of a Construction Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities in various fields such as engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product rollout. The position involves overseeing the integration of technical activities and ensuring successful project execution. Responsibilities Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities. Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients. Recruit employees, assign tasks, evaluate their work, and oversee staff development and competence. Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess project feasibility. Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures. Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates. Essential Skills 10+ years of experience in construction and project management. Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Understanding of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods. Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and Visio. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Technical College Degree in Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred. Professional licenses in Construction Management and/or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering are advantageous. PMI or PMP certification preferred. Experience with datacenter operations and construction. Work Environment This position requires 100% onsite work at location DSM05. The daily schedule is approximately 40 hours per week. The role involves managing projects from end-to-end, including new project development/scoping, contractor bidding, and execution, with a focus on retrofit projects. There is a possibility for contract extension. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of WDM, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $87.00 - $97.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
