Job Summary:

The Sr. Superintendent plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating all construction activities at the job site. This position ensures that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project plans and specifications. The Onsite Superintendent is responsible for maintaining an organized and clean job site, managing materials and equipment, scheduling inspections, and communicating effectively with the Construction Manager, Project Manager, Subcontractors, and city authorities to ensure project success.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Coordination and Supervision:

Coordinate and supervise all construction activities at the job site. Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Construction Schedule:

Maintain and/or communicate the construction schedule progress or delays with the construction manager. Identify and proactively solve problems that may affect the project timeline. Effectively communicate and coordinate subcontractors

Job Site Maintenance:

Maintain an organized and clean job site to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Materials and Equipment Management:

Keep track of all materials and equipment delivered to the job site. Ensure onsite storage facilities are clean and organized. Familiarize yourself with the location of materials and equipment within the onsite storage facilities.

Inspections:

Proactively educate yourself on all city required inspections ensuring that they are scheduled as required. Familiarize yourself with each city's inspection process (i.e., online portal, or schedule by phone)

Safety Enforcement:

Regularly inspect the construction site to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards. Enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries.

Quality Control:

Proactively identify poor craftsmanship and ensure it is rectified in a timely manner to prevent a large punch list. Report lack of quality identified immediately to the Construction Manager in writing with photos.

Performance Evaluation:

Evaluate the performance of construction employees and subcontractors. Provide feedback and support for improving work quality and efficiency.

Communication:

Maintain open and consistent communication with the Construction Manager and Project Manager regarding project progress, issues, and potential solutions.

Reporting:

Prepare and send daily reports and OpenSpace videos on required days. Collaborate with the Construction Manager to ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Document all changes in work to Construction Manager when they occur in writing with photos.

City Requirements:

Maintain communication with city authorities to stay informed about and meet all local requirements for closing out the project.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in supervision, management, or people leadership. Strong understanding of construction plans and specifications. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills. Strong Knowledge of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them effectively. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to evaluate and manage construction personnel. Proficiency in project management software and construction reporting tools.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM Join our team as a Senior Supervisor where you will play an integral role in driving operational excellence while ensuring the safety and productivity of our workforce.

$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
