Description:

This role supervises day-to-day construction site activities for a self-help housing program, acting as the on-site leader for group members volunteers, and subcontractors. The supervisor ensures homes are built safely, correctly, on schedule, and ensures quality control, while teaching construction skills to group members and volunteers with little or no experience. The position works closely with a construction manager, manages job-site operations, track progress, and enforces safety standards. Evenings and Saturdays are required, however exact day and times will be able to modify as needed.

Residential Construction Supervisor

Seeking an experienced residential construction professional to teach construction methods and oversee multiple home-building projects. Responsibilities include hands-on instruction in framing, carpentry, concrete, roofing, siding, windows, and other new construction tasks; supervising crews and volunteers; coordinating subcontractors and inspections; maintaining project documentation; and enforcing safety standards. Candidates should have strong residential construction knowledge, leadership and communication skills, and the ability to read blueprints.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years of construction experience, with 10+ years preferred; supervisory experience preferred; valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, work at heights, and travel between sites across eight counties. Construction-related education is preferred.
