Job Description
The Construction Observer assists the project architect by providing full-time, on-site observation of construction activities during the summer months with a potential to extend. This role serves as the architect's daily presence on the job site and requires a high level of professionalism, clear communication, and attention to detail. The observer helps monitor construction progress, observe that work generally aligns with the contract documents, and communicate project conditions to the design team in a timely and organized manner. Responsibilities include preparing daily field reports, documenting construction activities with photos, attending construction meetings, coordinating respectfully with contractors and school staff, and promptly reporting questions, issues, or discrepancies to the architect. The position requires strong professional conduct, reliability, and the ability to communicate clearly with multiple parties in an active construction environment. This role provides valuable hands-on experience with the construction process while supporting the successful delivery of the project.
