Project Manager - Commercial Construction Chicago, IL We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on, project-based position working closely with field leadership and self-perform crews to manage schedule, cost, quality, safety, and overall project execution. Responsibilities Manage projects from preconstruction/startup through final closeout Own project budgets, cost forecasting, productivity tracking, and financial performance Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change orders, and project documentation Develop and maintain project schedules, including manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries Coordinate closely with Superintendents and self-perform field crews Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement, and material requirements Lead communication with general contractors, owners, architects, and engineers Manage progress meetings, billings, pay applications, and project closeout Maintain strong jobsite safety and quality standards Qualifications 2+ years of construction Project Management experience required; 5+ years preferred Commercial construction experience required Concrete, self-perform, high-rise, parking structure, or structural construction experience strongly preferred Experience managing budgets, RFIs, submittals, change orders, scheduling, and field coordination Strong understanding of construction drawings and project documentation Experience with Procore and Excel; Tekla and Bluebeam experience is a plus Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent field experience Must be comfortable working primarily onsite from the project location Compensation & Benefits up to $120,000 base salary, depending on experience Discretionary annual bonus Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Company-paid life and long-term disability insurance This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager looking for long-term stability, significant project ownership, and a path toward Senior Project Manager and Project Executive leadership roles.
