Job Description

Position Description:
Airoom Architects Builders & Remodelers, Chicagoland's premier 67 year old design/build company, is growing and seeking an experienced residential construction superintendent for high end residential remodeling and room additions. Strong project management skills and significant customer relation experience a must. Skillsets Deep residential construction experience in high end remodeling and renovations and new builds and fluent in reading blueprints, construction details and materials schedules. Strong conventional rough framing layout knowledge and background in carpentry, and managing projects from concrete foundations through the trim out phase a must. Comfortable with lighting and electrical layouts, general plumbing and HVAC rough and trim and ability to adjust plans in the field to accommodate changes requests by homeowners. 10 years of field supervision experience preferred with a good understanding of residential building trades and a sub-contractor following. Strong communication and administration skills to interact within the design and build teams, including sub-contractors, material vendors and city inspectors. Ability to manage 5 residential projects simultaneously from sub-contractor selection to final punch list and collection. Ability to interact with purchasing staff, vendors, superintendents, and field crews to clarify and/or review and explain site issues and document same in project management software. Duties Supervise daily construction activities and ensure compliance with blueprints , building department codes and pass all inspections. Manage project scheduling using construction management software such as Primavera, Buildertrend or ProCore. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality control, ensuring adherence to blueprints and schematics. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Maintain detailed records of project progress, including documentation of any changes or issues that arise. Manage clients daily expectations and communications from start of construction through final expectation Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary with an attractive bonus inventive program. Current team members earn $150K - $250K including bonuses and benefits annually.
