WHAT THE JOB IS
The Construction Carpentry Superintendent will work closely with client Field Supervisor and to support day-to-day project operations. This role is dynamic and hands-on, requiring flexibility to perform a variety of tasks that may change daily. You will be responsible for traveling to multiple job sites on a weekly or sometimes daily basis to assist with physical tasks as needed. At a minimum, you will be sure to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in collaboration with site leadership and subcontractors. We believe in, "there is no job beneath me" mentality with a focus on carpentry skills and leading a team. We work together as a team in all we do.
Requirements:
WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Leading a team and managing a project on-site with a proactive approach with a high level of quality control Professional ability to push a team through a project through the end to meet/exceed timelines Prepare and maintain construction sites, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for daily operations to include maintaining a materials list, and ordering materials Transport and handle materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites in a safe and efficient manner Expert level commercial carpentry, caulking, layout, commercial metal studs, ALT ceilings, dry wall, doors frames, and hardware Carry out manual labor tasks under minimal supervision, following instructions from supervisors and adapting to evolving site needs Install and assemble temporary structures and job site signage, including scaffolding, ladders, and enclosures Operate basic construction equipment including pumps, generators, shop vacs, power tools, etc. Assist with demolition and general site teardown work Accurately track and document daily assignments, ordering materials, contributing to clear communication and project progress reporting Strong ability to be adaptable and multitask in fast-paced, dynamic environments Maintain, clean shop tools and equipment while maintaining a proper inventory of equipment
WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING TO THE TEAM
Strong carpentry skills with an emphasis on commercial framing! Highly organized with strong time management skills; able to prioritize and complete tasks independently with minimal supervision Experience leading a team is required Flexible and dependable, available for night shifts, weekends, and off-hours work as project demands Self-motivated team player with leadership qualities and a proactive work ethic Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor; excels in collaborative, non-confrontational environments Proven background in commercial construction with experience across multiple project types Strong communication skills; coordinate effectively with subcontractors and internal teams Skilled in real-time problem solving and decision-making under pressure Ability to handle multiple projects and multi-task individually and as a team Hands-on experience operating power tools, equipment, and construction machinery Consistently maintains a safety-first mindset, following site protocols and best practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work in an environment that requires a strong sense of physicality Capable of standing and walking for extended periods in various job site environments Physically able to climb ladders, bend, crouch, and access confined spaces as needed Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds Willing and available to work off-hours, including nights and weekends, to meet project and client needs
