Assistant Site Coordinator Boys & Girls Club of Rockford - 4.1 Rockford, IL Job Details Part-time $18 - $19 an hour 9 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Computer operation Outdoor work Computer literacy Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Working with children Staff training Organizational skills Technical Proficiency Full Job Description Position Summary The Assistant Site Coordinator supports the daily operations, programming, and supervision of the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford's Flodin Unit. This position works closely with the Site Coordinator to help ensure a safe, positive, and engaging environment for youth and families. The Assistant Site Coordinator serves as the acting lead in the absence of the Site Coordinator and is responsible for assisting with staff supervision, program implementation, member management, parent communication, and daily club operations. This role requires strong leadership, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. Essential ResponsibilitiesClub Operations & Leadership Assist with the daily operation of the Club site, including opening and closing procedures Serve as acting lead when the Site Coordinator is absent Help supervise Youth Development Professionals and program staff Support implementation of organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility Help manage daily schedules, room rotations, transitions, and programming logistics Assist with transportation coordination and member sign-in/sign-out procedures Support behavior management and incident response procedures Program Support Help ensure high-quality youth development programming is implemented daily Support academic enrichment, STEM, SEL, arts, recreation, and other program areas Assist with monitoring program participation and member engagement Support program planning and activity preparation Build positive relationships with members to promote a welcoming Club environment Family & Community Communication Communicate professionally with parents/guardians regarding programming, attendance, behavior concerns, and general Club information Assist families with registration questions and Club processes Support family engagement activities and events Administrative Responsibilities Assist with attendance tracking and data entry within MyClubHub/Salesforce Help maintain accurate records, incident reports, and program documentation Support membership and enrollment processes Assist with reporting and other administrative tasks as assigned Staff Support & Development Help provide guidance and support to frontline staff Model professionalism and positive youth development practices Assist with onboarding and training support for new staff Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Experience working with youth in after-school, summer camp, education, recreation, or youth development settings preferred Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff Basic computer and technology skills required Experience with data systems or Salesforce/MyClubHub preferred Physical Requirements Ability to actively supervise youth in indoor and outdoor environments Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods Schedule This position may require daytime, evening, and summer hours based on Club programming needs.
