Job Description

Land Development Site Superintendent - Planned Community Project Environmental Protection Industries ("EPI") is a rapidly growing full-service environmental consulting and remediation firm specializing in a One-Stop-Solution service offerings in the Chicagoland Area. EPI's innovative One-Stop Solution service, "Site-Packaging," provides a single point-of-contact, turn-key solution for Brownfield Redevelopment by curating the requisite investigation, remediation, and site development services to deliver a 'pad-ready" site for clients.
Project Overview:
Project consists of 354 residential units on 8 acres. The project includes 6 townhomes and 4 apartment buildings. Project is targeting a Phase 1 delivery of December 2026.
Position Summary:
Site Superintendent will act as the primary on-site leader for all work, excluding vertical construction, and be responsible for directing all construction activities, overseeing contractors, and enforcing safety, quality, and schedule compliance with all subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct all daily field operations for a 354 Unit Residential Development
  • Tracking of project schedule
  • Coordination and scheduling of subcontractors on-site
  • Serve as primary liaison with owners, agencies and inspectors
  • Read and analyze civil construction plans for design intent and advise contractors on-site
  • Preparing daily and weekly reports include project status updates and photographs taken daily on-site
  • Enforce all municipal and environmental permits
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' experience in supervising construction site projects, preferably projects valued at $10M+
  • Strong knowledge of mass grading, underground utilities and site infrastructure
  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering and grading plans
  • Must have pre-requisite OSHA training/certifications
  • Demonstrated a history of managing subcontractors and vendors
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Must have the ability to work independently
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Full-time, on-site position (Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed)
