Job Description Summary Lincoln Land Community College is seeking a qualified, part-time, non-benefited Construction Lab Instructor to provide construction instruction geared toward students in Highway Construction Program. Journeyman status with at least five years experience is preferred but not required. Instructors will be responsible for the following: Prepare lesson plans, lecture and relevant issues such as safety, industry requirements and history of the industry. Deliver instruction on the safe use of hand and power tools as outlined in OSHA safety standards. Oversee projects and provide instruction on specific construction skills which may include but not limited to: site preparation, cement work, carpentry, simple welding and electrical, and blueprint reading. Record daily attendance. Provide student feedback. Pay will be $44.00/hr. The Paid Leave for All Workers Act allows part-time employees to earn 1 hour of PTO for every 40 hours worked. Position Requirements Instructors must meet the following requirements: Minimum 2 years demonstrated experience in a field related to course.
